Baltis privacy policy

Published by nGen. Baltis is a single-player game with no account and no servers. Your colony stays on your device, and the game makes no network requests at all.

Effective

  • No account
  • No analytics
  • No ads
  • No tracking
  • Plays offline
  • Erase any time

What we collect

Nothing. Baltis does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data.

  • No account: no name, email address or password
  • No analytics events, screen views or usage tracking
  • No advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting
  • No remote crash reporting
  • No purchases
  • No push notifications

What stays on your device

Baltis stores the following in the app’s local storage on your device only. None of it is uploaded to us.

Your colony
The saved game, written after every action.
Settings
Whether sound is on or off, and which tips you have read.

When the game goes online

Never. The game makes no network requests at all, and it plays offline.

Deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you control it there:

New colony
Starting a new colony and deleting the old save from the title screen erases that save.
Uninstall
Removing the app erases the colony and the settings.

Playing in a browser on itch.io

The same game also plays in a browser on itch.io. There the save is kept in that browser’s storage on your device, and clearing the site’s data in the browser erases it. itch.io’s own privacy policy covers itch.io’s site.

Children

Baltis collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Who we are

Baltis is published by nGen, which is responsible for it under data protection law (the “controller”). Write to info@ngenlabs.org with any question about your data.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or ask for a copy. Because our software keeps your data on your own device, most of the time we hold nothing to give back; we will tell you so. We answer within one month.

If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date at the top. A change that collects more data would come with an update to the software and a note in its release notes first.
