Privacy notice

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ads. Our apps keep your data with you. Each app has its own policy; this notice covers the website.

This website

ngenlabs.org sets no cookies and has no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or third-party scripts. Every file, font included, comes from ngenlabs.org itself.

If you choose a light or dark theme, or pause the front page’s animation, your browser remembers that choice in its own storage. It never leaves your device.

Cloudflare hosts the site. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, it handles the technical data that every request carries: your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for. Request logs are kept for a few days for troubleshooting, then deleted.

When you write to us

The contact form doesn’t send anything through this site: it opens your own email app with the message ready. When you write to info@ngenlabs.org, we use your address and message only to answer you, because you asked us to, and keep them only as long as that takes. Mail to that address passes through Cloudflare’s email routing and is kept in our email provider’s mailbox.

If you ask to be told when a product launches, we keep your address with that product’s name, write once when it is out, and then delete it. We do this only because you asked (your consent): write “stop” at any time and we delete it straight away.

Who we are

This website is published by nGen, which is responsible for it under data protection law (the “controller”). Write to info@ngenlabs.org with any question about your data.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or ask for a copy. Because our software keeps your data on your own device, most of the time we hold nothing to give back; we will tell you so. We answer within one month.

If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the new version is posted here with a new date at the top. A change that collects more data would come with an update to the software and a note in its release notes first.
