Sprint Delta privacy policy
Published by nGen. Sprint Delta is a Jira Cloud app built on Atlassian Forge that runs entirely inside Atlassian.
Effective
- Built on Atlassian Forge
- No data leaves Atlassian
- No analytics
- Account IDs only
Where the app runs
Sprint Delta runs on Atlassian’s Forge platform and keeps its data in Forge-hosted storage inside your Atlassian cloud site’s environment. It has no servers of its own and sends no data outside Atlassian: it declares no outside network access and no remote back end. Data residency follows your Atlassian product.
What the app reads
Through Jira’s APIs, as the app or as the signed-in user: sprints and boards, the Sprint and Status fields of work items and their change history, work item keys, summaries, types, statuses and estimates, and the display names of the people who changed sprint membership. Summaries, statuses and names are shown on screen and are not stored.
What the app stores
- Sprint ids, names, dates and states; board ids, names and configuration
- Work item ids, keys, space and creation time
- Sprint and status changes: time, from and to values, and the change id
- The Atlassian account ID of whoever made each sprint change or created the work item, to show who in reports. This is the only personal data the app stores.
- A hidden property on work items (
sprintHistoryJqlScope) holding sprint ids and a date, so JQL can find them. It holds no personal data.
The app does not store email addresses, display names, work item text or comments.
Account IDs and deletion
Every week the app reports the account IDs it stores to Atlassian’s personal data reporting API. When Atlassian reports an account as closed, the app erases that account ID from its data and recomputes the affected reports.
Retention
Data is kept while the app is installed. After the app is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes the app’s hosted storage at the end of Atlassian’s retention period (see Atlassian’s data lifecycle for Forge storage (opens in a new tab)).
Third parties
No analytics, advertising or tracking services. Atlassian provides the platform the app runs on.
Who we are
nGen publishes Sprint Delta. The data it stores stays in your organisation’s Atlassian site: nGen has no access to it, and your organisation decides what happens to it. Write to info@ngenlabs.org with any question about the app.
Your rights
The data sits in your organisation’s Atlassian site, so ask your Jira site admin to see, change or remove it. Uninstalling Sprint Delta removes its data under Atlassian’s retention rules (see Retention), and Atlassian accounts that close are erased automatically (see Account IDs and deletion).
If you think your data has been handled wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date at the top. A change that collects more data would come with an update to the software and a note in its release notes first.
