UnTired privacy policy

What we collect

Nothing. UnTired does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data.

• No account: no name, email address or password
• No analytics events, screen views or usage tracking
• No advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting
• No remote crash reporting
• No push notification token

What stays on your phone

UnTired stores the following on your device only. None of it is uploaded to us.

Check-ins

Energy (morning, midday and evening), sleep, caffeine, alcohol, movement, stress, evening screen time, mood, context tags and any notes you write.

Experiments and wellbeing checks

The experiments you run and your WHO-5 answers.

Settings

An optional first name for the greeting, and your reminder time.

Patterns, forecasts and weekly reviews are calculated on the phone by fixed statistics. Your log is never sent to an AI model.

When the app goes online

Only when you open a link, such as the support page or a helpline, in your browser. The app itself makes no network requests about you or how you use it.

Reminders

Reminders are scheduled by your phone as local notifications. No reminder data is sent to us or to a push service. Turn them off in Settings or in your device’s notification settings.

Backups, export and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you control it there:

Export

Settings › Your data › Export as CSV shares your whole log as a spreadsheet.

Erase

Settings › Your data › Erase all data permanently removes everything at once.

Uninstall

Deleting the app deletes your log. Export first if you want a copy.

Your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Google) may include app data, under that platform’s privacy terms. We have no access to it.

Not medical advice

UnTired shows patterns in your own logs. It does not diagnose or treat any condition and does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Children

UnTired is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no data from anyone.

Early test builds

Test builds shared before launch had sign-in with an email address, Google or Apple, and kept accounts on a server. Some may also have sent usage events, linked to the account, to PostHog (an analytics service, on EU servers), and handled any purchases through RevenueCat. The current app uses none of it. To have anything from that time deleted, on our server or at PostHog or RevenueCat, write to info@ngenlabs.org from that address and we will delete it within seven days. If you signed in with Apple and hid your address, write from any address and give the day you signed up.

Who we are

UnTired is published by nGen, which is responsible for it under data protection law (the “controller”). Write to info@ngenlabs.org with any question about your data.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or ask for a copy. Because our software keeps your data on your own device, most of the time we hold nothing to give back; we will tell you so. We answer within one month.

If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date at the top. A change that collects more data would come with an update to the software and a note in its release notes first.
